Oh! “darkly, deeply, beautifully blue,”
As someone somewhere sings about the sky.
Lord Byron
The dreamy quietness of the blue up above has the power to sooth your soul. The unruffled nature of the vastness of the blue sky overawes you and sponges your worries and woes away. Peace and happiness just fill your being.
Tell me what time the weaver sleeps
Who spun the breadths of blue! ~Emily Dickinson
And on some days, like today morning, the depth of blue is flecked with a fluffy fleece trail and one is tempted to be playful with the clouds.
That’s my incense stick sending smoke to the deep blue sky!
This is my cup of tea! A cup that cheers!!
“If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things in nature have a message you understand, Rejoice, for your soul is alive.”
Eleanora Duse
Am glad mine is alive!
What a lovely post. We’re waiting here for our first cold front of the fall. When a good front rolls through, it drops the temperature, but it also clears out the humidity. Then, we have what we call bluebird skies: clear, and deep, and vibrant. Those blue skies are most common from October to December, and we’re eager as can be!
