There’s a thin line between …
The breathtaking photographs of unbelievably transparent and clear blue waters of Dawaki river in Meghalaya, scattered with a few boats that looked as if floating in the air were taking due rounds on the social media a few months back. When I chanced upon a similar sight, though nowhere close to those photos, in a remote island in the Gulf of Thailand off the coast of Cambodia, I was thrilled and my joy knew no bounds! The second day of our holiday has gone a bit topsy-turvy not as the way we expected, but this exhilarating view was balm enough to calm a disappointed mind. The charm that the isle holds (a fabled isle I must say) is beyond words.
The jade green water and the lone boat
The soft music of the calm waters, the lull of the gentle waves, the glistening silver sand, the dawn that steps in silently, the blissful blue skies that turn into a purple sea in the evenings, the waters that glitter at night all sooth your weariness and distress. Water has the power to calm, to detox.
Yes, sometimes we all need to ‘Take a course of good water and air, and in the eternal youth of Nature you may renew your own. Go quietly, alone; no harm will befall you.’- John Muir
